RE: School Quality In The Home Buying Decision
What factors influence YOU when thinking about your “perfect” home? Could they be the size (bedrooms, bathrooms, square footage) of the house, private backyard, proximity to amenities, or is the school district your top priority?
According to a recent survey by realtor.com of more than 1,000 people who have purchased a home this year,
73% indicated good school boundaries were important to their home search.
Only 18% of homebuyers said that school boundaries were unimportant or very unimportant with 9% being neutral about schools/school district. Having two young children (currently 7 months and almost 3 years), I can completely relate to schools being a top priority when selecting a new house!
The list below represents “above average” pre-k and elementary schools (based on greatschools.org) in a few areas within Douglas County, which is where my family and I live. If you are curious about other ages or other areas, reach out to me! I can create a custom search specifically designed for you. I also have a few additional recommendations regarding school evaluation before writing up that house offer that I’m willing to share- so let’s chat!
Highlands Ranch:
Northridge Elementary School
Saddle Ranch Elementary School
Redstone Elementary School

Don’t like your current school district or perhaps you need to stay in the same district to avoid disruption to their schooling stability? Whatever the situation is, I will make YOUR top priorities MY top priority!
