Where To Go: Furry Scurry

This year marks the 25th annual Furry Scurry, a walk with an important purpose: helping the Dumb Friends League care for thousands of lost, abandoned, abused, and unwanted pets and horses, giving them a second change at happiness in a forever home!

I love this event and this organization because dogs are an incredibly important part of my life. They demonstrate trust, loyalty, and true companionship. I can have a hard day, and petting my dog can instantly make me feel calm. In my opinion, animals can be just as integral in a family as children. Speaking of children, my two-year-old son finds it hilarious to pull on our dogs tail, ears, fur, etc. You would not believe how patient she is with him. She just allows him to do these things and doesn't move. When it gets to be too much for her, she will turn around and lick his face until he stops. Now THAT is a sweet defense mechanism.

Walk Details:

Saturday, May 5th from 9am-12pm
