Summit County In The Summer!
If you're like our family, you are going nuts staying at home all the time but not wanting to travel too extensively due to our current pandemic. Therefore, I HIGHLY recommend getting up early and heading to Summit County!! From Denver, it's only a 90 minute drive and you feel like you've entered an entirely different world with absolutely breathtaking views of the mountains! Pack a lunch and check out these beautiful areas and fun places!
Breckenridge Troll: This guy is massive and so cool to see in person! It's a very short little hike (my 2 year old and 4 year old did fine with it) from the parking lot and you'll love every moment of it!
Lake Dillon in Frisco: On these beautiful sunny days, it's so nice to walk around Lake Dillon, let the dogs swim, kids play (my kids and dogs shown here having a blast), and just relax while taking in the gorgeous scenery!
Standup Padding Boarding: You can also rent standup paddle boards from the marina and use them on Lake Dillon as well.
Playgrounds/Parks: There are TONS of parks and playgrounds all over the place, which my kids LOVE. Kaden recommends Rainbow Park in Silverthorne (picture included!), which is located at 590 Rainbow Drive, Silverthorne, CO 80498.
Hiking: There are a plethora of incredible hikes both short and long for the occasional hiker and the experienced hiker. You can truly find the perfect hike and boy, they are ALL beautiful!
Also, if you're considering a rental property, this is the perfect location for one! Let me know if you want a Realtor recommendation for this area, as I know a few REALLY great ones!!
